BEAM, Circuit Judge.

Marie Carmelle Okolie 1 and Joseph Lean-dre appeal from a default judgment of forfeiture entered by the district court on March 3, 1993. We affirm.

The currency was seized from Okolie at the St. Louis Airport on August 15, 1990. On July 18, 1991, the government filed a verified complaint of (civil) forfeiture under 21 U.S.C. § 881 in the district court and obtained a warrant for arrest of property pursuant to Rule C of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims (Rule C).
