—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Lewis, J.), rendered December 6, 1996, convicting him of kidnapping in the second degree, promoting prostitution in the second degree, promoting prostitution in the third degree, and conspiracy in the fourth degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a -hearing (Rios, J.), of those branches of the defendant’s omnibus motion which were to suppress certain physical evidence and statements he made to law enforcement authorities.
