Appellee, the American Steel Hoop Company, filed this action against Harry Guenther, doing business in the firm name of Harry Guen-ther & Bro., to recover $647.43 for a ■carload of round bar iron sold and delivered by the plaintiff. It was alleged in the petition that 'the defendant is a nonresident of the State, and that John S. Wright is the agent and manager of his- business in the State of Kentucky.
