Plaintiff, John Collins, a tenured professor at the University of New Hampshire (“UNH” or “the University”), filed this civil rights action against defendants UNH, Bruce L. Mallory, and Robert C. Whitten. 1 The facts underlying this case stem from an incident that occurred on the UNH campus and which led to plaintiffs arrest on June 29, 2007, for disorderly conduct and stalking.
