By this appeal Henry D. Laughlin seeks to reverse a judgment entered against him in an action of assumpsit for $49,034.48. The record discloses that Sarah Eden, now deceased, on April 22, 1901, filed her bill of complaint against Laughlin and others, claiming a one-half interest in certain stock of the Northern Hotel Company, purchased in the name of Laughlin. The suit was heard and a decree entered finding that Mrs. Eden had not established her claim of ownership in the stock, but that she was entitled to an accounting for…
