delivered the opinion of the court.

The appellees, in a trial without a jury, secured a judgment in the circuit court of DuPage county for $5,000 against the appellant as compensation for their services as commissioners in a special assessment proceeding filed and prosecuted by the appellant in the county court of that county. The purpose of the appeal is to determine whether the judgment should or should not be affirmed by this court.
