A special court-martial composed of a military judge sitting alone convicted Appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of one specification of wrongful use of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and one specification of wrongful use of marijuana, both in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. § 912a (2002). Appellant was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge and confinement for four months.
