Appeal from Tama District Court. — Hon. J. M. Parker, Judge. Suit for a divorce and alimony. Judgment for the plaintiff. The defendant appeals.

1. Divorce: desertion: evidence. The plaintiff asks a divorce from the defendant and alimony, on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment endangering her life, and desertion. In a cross-hill the defendant asks a divorce from the plaintiff on the ground of desertion. The trial court gave the plaintiff a divorce and permanent alimony in the sum of $7,500, and the defendant appeals. These, parties were first married on the 17th day of October, 1894, and lived together until in December, 1900. They then had three children.
