This suit was instituted by appellee against P. J. Hennessey, J. G. Sullivan, and R. P. Coon, to recover damages alleged to have accrued by reason of certain statements made by them. It is alleged that R. P. Goon and J. G. Sullivan made charges against appellee in certain communications to the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, and that Hennessey was the author of and responsible for some of the reports made to the Secretary by Sullivan.
