Appellant has been convicted in the County Court of Steuben county of maintaining a public nuisance under sections 1530 and 1532 of the Penal Law, in that in a house occupied by him in the village of Canisteo, on August 30, 1925, he conducted a place where intoxicating liquor was sold by him to various persons, in violation of the National Prohibition Act. The indictment covered other details, as, to some extent, did the proof.
