The plaintiffs own the north half of Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 2 East of the 6th P.M., ip Stanton County, Nebraska. Cedar Creek enters the property from the south at a point near the southeast corner of the land, flows in a northwesterly direction across the northeast quarter of the section, and leaves the property of the plaintiffs at a point near the center of the north line of the section.

Prior to 1950 the Elkhom River followed a meandering course through the section north of the plaintiffs’ property. Cedar Creek flowed into the Elkhom River at a point approximately 2,200 feet…
