MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
SMALKIN, District Judge.
This professional malpractice action is before the Court as a result of numerous procedural errors in what should have been a run-of-the-mill asbestos case. The comedy (or, perhaps, tragedy) of errors that occurred here allowed a plaintiff— who at one time was prepared to accept a settlement of $125,000 1 — to collect $1.6 million in an asbestos lawsuit that was barred by limitations, res judicata, and a general release executed by the plaintiff in a prior lawsuit!
