Appellant was constructing a light and power transmission line along a public street in the city of Tuscaloosa, and in the progress of its work felled a tree, a water oak, which had long stood near the center of the street. The tree stood on appellee’s side of the middle line of the street, if that makes any difference. Appellant’s transmission line was constructed along the outer margin of the sidewalk.
