OPINION

SAM NUCHIA, Justice.

Appellant, Shannon Eugene Hayes, was tried by a jury for murder and found guilty of the lesser included offense of manslaughter. Appellant had one enhancement, which raised the penalty range to that of a first degree felony. The jury assessed punishment at 30 years’ confinement.
