The jury returned a verdict for the defendant in this action for damages as a result of a rear-end automobile collision accident occurring on September 3, 1968, at 39th and Van Dorn Streets in Lincoln, Nebraska. The trial court instructed the jury that the defendant was negligent as a matter of law and submitted to the jury only the issues of what injuries, if any, were proximately caused by the defendant’s negligence, and the amount of the damages. The plaintiff appeals, claiming passion and prejudice on the part of the jury, and that the verdict was so clearly wrong it cannot stand. These…
