Appellant Matthews filed a four-count complaint in the Superior Court against appellees Automated Business Systems & Services, Inc. (ABSS), and its president and chief executive officer, Theodore Howard, alleging unlawful employment discrimination in violation of the District of Columbia Human Rights Act,1 breach of contract, wrongful discharge, and interference with contractual relations.
