J¿STATEMENT OF THE CASE
The defendant, Stanley LeBlanc, was charged by bill of information on October 10, 2007, with one count of theft of copper telephone cable, valued in the amount of five hundred dollars or more, a violation of La. R.S. 14:67(B)(1). 1 The defendant pleaded not guilty at his November 26, 2007 arraignment.
