[¶ 1] Steven D. Holloway appeals from a judgment of conviction entered by the Superior Court (Franklin County, Studstrup, J.) on his conditional guilty plea to murder in violation of 17-A M.R.S.A. § 201(1)(A) (1983).1 Holloway entered his conditional plea pursuant to M.R. Civ. P. 11(a)(2) following the court’s denial of his motion to suppress his statements to the police on January 15, 1998, thereby preserving the issue for appeal.
