Chapter 91 of the Revised Statutes, (2 vol. Stanton's edition, 348,) contains the following provision :

“Each county court shall have the power to suspend the jailer oí the county from acting as such, for such period as it map deem right, when the public interest shall imperatively require the same ; but the ground on which the suspension shall be made must, in every instance, be entered on the order book of the court.
