Defendant-appellant, Donald E. Pierce, was charged with a single count of possession of a controlled substance in violation of R.C. 2925.11(C)(6)(a). The trial court conducted a hearing on a motion to suppress evidence. The arresting police officer, Bruce Cobb, testified at the hearing concerning the incident. Cobb testified that he has been a police officer for fifteen years and worked in the same precinct for nine years.
