WISDOM, Senior Circuit Judge.

This appeal is from a civil forfeiture action under 21 U.S.C. § 881(a)(6). The United States sought forfeiture of $250,000 that Amador Rodriguez-Ramos had posted as bail pending his appeal from a criminal conviction under federal drug laws. The United States alleged that it had probable cause to believe that the bail money was derived from illegal drug transactions.
