This suit was instituted in the court below by Mrs. Josie Haynes against Fred Haberzettle, as principal, and the Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland, as surety, on a retail liquor dealer’s bond, to recover the sum of $5,000 as damages for the infractions alleged. The plaintiff is the widow of Tillman Haynes, who died in February, 1911. The petition alleges that during the year preceding his death Haynes was an habitual drunkard; and, after detailing several instances in which plaintiff’s two minor sons were permitted to enter and remain in Haberzettle’s place of business, it contains this…
