Rose, J.:

This is an appeal from a district court order denying a post-conviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Appellant Avram Nika was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death. He contends that the district court erred in denying his petition because, among other reasons, a proceeding ordered by this court under former SCR 250 was an inadequate forum to determine whether he had received effective assistance from trial counsel.
