Can a contracting party be held liable in tort for conspiracy to interfere with its own contract? Following a line of appellate cases, the *508Court of Appeal answered this question in the affirmative. Our study of applicable precedent and policy yields a contrary answer. We will therefore reverse the judgment of the Court of Appeal.
