NYE, Chief Justice.

This is a suit for personal injuries. Appellant, Terry Hendrix, brought suit against appellee Jones-Lake Construction Company (hereinafter Jones-Lake), the owner and general contractor, and appellee Valley Roofing Company (hereinafter Valley Roofing), the roofing contractor, to recover damages for personal injuries Hendrix sustained when he fell through an unguarded skylight opening in the roof of a warehouse under construction in Brownsville, Texas.
