OPINION

SILER, Circuit Judge.

Warden Wayne Carpenter (“Carpenter”) appeals the district court’s order granting Farris Genner Morris’s (“Morris”) petition for a writ of habeas corpus in part and vacating his death sentence on the basis of ineffective assistance of counsel at sentencing. Morris cross-appeals the district court’s decision to deny his claims of ineffective assistance of counsel in the guilt phase. For the following reasons, we AFFIRM the district court’s denial of Morris’s claim of ineffective assistance of counsel in the guilt phase, VACATE the district court’s grant of habeas…
