*45Three applications for writs of mandamus, made separately in the district court, were there consolidated and tried as one action, and the three distinct writs of error sued out of this court to review the judgments of the district court rendered upon them were likewise consolidated and heard at the same time in this court. The material facts and principles of law applicable in two of the causes are substantially identical, and they will be discussed and determined in this opinion.
