OPINION OF THE COURT

Carro, J.

The unforeseen suicide of a police officer, who, while off duty, turns his gun on himself, is a tragedy for his family, friends, colleagues, and the public he has served. It is not however, the basis of a successful suit alleging negligence by the officer’s municipal employer, for permitting the officer to carry a service revolver.
