In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the plaintiff appeals from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Dunne, J.), dated November 3, 2003, which, upon a jury verdict on the issue of liability, and upon an order of the same court entered August 11, 2003, denying his motion pursuant to CPLR 4404 (a) to set aside the verdict as against the weight of the evidence and for judgment as a matter of law, is in favor of the defendant City of Glen Cove and against him, in effect, dismissing the complaint insofar as asserted against that defendant.
