Juan Jose Bello appeals his convictions and sentences for one count each of aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The district court imposed a hard 25 life imprisonment sentence, pursuant to K.S.A. 21-4643. Bello contends that the district court erred by excluding evidence on the basis of noncompliance with the time constraints of K.S.A. 21-3525; that the State failed to charge and the district court failed to instruct on an essential element of the crimes, violating his constitutional rights; and that…
