The nature of the question involved requires a full statement ■of the case, for there are few, if any, more important matters than the suppression of perjury in the courts of this state. Relator was prosecuted before Hon. A. L. Squire, county judge of Ellis county, sitting as a committing magistrate, upon the following complaint: “Before me, A. L. In the trial of the case, in which it is alleged that relator committed perjury, he was charged with unlawfully having possession of intoxicating liquors found in the “Yellow Front Restaurant” in the town of Gage, Okla., with the intention of violating the provisions of the prohibitory liquor law. The state relies upon the first eight predicates of the complaint, and particularly upon the second and third predicates, which are as follows:
