Columbia Mutual Insurance Company (“Columbia”) appeals a judgment, entered following jury verdict, in favor of their insureds, Curtis and Ann Long (“the Longs” or, individually, “Dr. Long” and “Mrs. Long”). That verdict awarded damages for breach of contract and vexatious refusal to pay under a contract of insurance covering cattle owned by the Longs. Columbia filed post-trial motions for new trial and to reduce the award in accordance with a co-insurance provision.
