OPINION

BACA, Justice.

Defendants-appellants Malcolm and Donna Garrett appeal the trial court’s order granting a directed verdict in favor of plaintiff-appellee Sunwest Bank of Clovis (Sunwest). We affirm.

I. FACTS

Curry County Grain & Elevator Co. (Curry County Grain) is a family owned and managed corporation. In 1985, Michael Garrett and his brother Malcolm Garrett were officers of Curry County Grain.
