This case was filed under the provisions of ERISA which allow a participant in or beneficiary of an employer-sponsored disability plan to seek judicial review of a denial of a claim for benefits under that plan. See 29 U.S.C. § 1132(a)(1)(B). It has been referred to the Magistrate Judge for disposition pursuant to the consent of the parties and through the authority found in 28 U.S.C. § 636(c).
