Plaintiff-appellant Leo LaPointe appeals the summary judgment dismissal of his Age Discrimination in Employment Act claim. We reverse and remand for the following reasons.

Plaintiff-appellant Leo LaPointe (“La-Pointe”) was employed by the Ford Motor Company (“Ford”) in its Parts Depot from 1967 until his retirement on January 1, 1990. While employed by Ford, LaPointe was a member of defendant-appellee United Autoworkers Local 600 (“Local 600”), an amalgamated union whose membership works for several different employers.
