McGIVERIN, Justice.

We accepted original jurisdiction of this case under our supervisory power for review and declaratory judgment in order to determine the legality of the re-election of respondents Richard M. McMahon and T. M. *837Whicher to the State Judicial Nominating Commission, pursuant to chapter 46, The Code, and their subsequent certification of election by respondent R. K.
