This medical malpractice case was brought on behalf of Hans Bock, who died due to internal bleeding following cancer treatment. This appeal presents the question of whether plaintiffs expert witness was competent and qualified to testify. The district court granted defendant’s motion for summary judgment, finding the witness lacked sufficient expertise in the area of liver cancer to be allowed to testify.
