At the 1914 September primaries the defendant was a candidate for the nomination for district attorney of Dodge county on the Democratic ticket. He received a plurality of the votes cast by those voting the Democratic primary ticket and his name was placed in the appropriate column on the ballot to be used at the November election. ITe received the greatest number of votes cast for said office at the November election and the proper officers of Dodge county issued to him a certificate of election.
