Plaintiff, Louisiana Pacific Corporation (“LPC” or “Plaintiff’), brings this action alleging various state and federal causes of action against Defendants Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.; Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated (“MLPFS”); and Money Market 1 Institutional Investment Dealer (“MM1”).1 The action alleges that Defendants’ activities related to certain auction rate securities (“ARS”) purchased by Plaintiff ran afoul of the law.
