This is an appeal from judgments of the circuit court for Columbia county entered by Judge Howard Latton dismissing this breach of warranty action against defendants Olson Implement Company, Inc., and Super Steel Products Corporation. On December 7, 1981, the court of appeals certified this case to us pursuant to sec. (Rule) 809.61, Stats., for resolution of the following issue: “Is privity of contract necessary to enable a purchaser to maintain an action for economic loss resulting from breach of an express warranty by the defendant to the purchaser?” Because we have reached the conclusion…
