The plaintiffs in this action have sued the defendants, Seagate Technology, Inc. (“Sea-gate”) and Compaq Computer Corp. (“Compaq”), alleging, among other claims, willful patent infringement of the plaintiffs’ computer disk drive technology. The defendants, in turn, assert that they acted in good faith because they relied on the advice of counsel.
