Memorandum Opinion and Order
STEVEN C. ST. JOHN, Bankruptcy Judge.
This matter comes before the Court for determination whether the above-captioned adversary proceeding is, in whole or in part, a “core proceeding” as defined in 28 U.S.C. § 157(b)(2). Bankruptcy courts have only the jurisdiction and powers that Congress has granted expressly or by necessary implication. See Gardner v. United States (In re Gardner), 913 F.2d 1515, 1517 (10th Cir.1990) (citing Johnson v. First Nat’l Bank, 719 F.2d 270, 273 (8th Cir.1983)).
