OAKS, Justice:
Following the United States Supreme Court’s decision that the free speech protections of the Constitution prevent the states from entirely prohibiting truthful advertising of the availability and price of legal services, Bates v. State Bar of Arizona, 433 U.S. 350, 97 S.Ct. 2691, 53 L.Ed.2d 810 (1977), this Court adopted changes to the Disciplinary Rules under Canon 2 of the Code of Professional Responsibility that permitted limited advertising by lawyers in newspapers.
