Jack and Cynthia Hawkins (Hawkins) petitioned this court to review a decision of the court of appeals reversing the trial court’s grant of a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict in favor of Allstate Insurance Company (Allstate) and affirming the trial court’s grant of Allstate’s motion for a new trial.
