ROGERS, Justice.
This is a suit for slander of title brought by Phares F. Childs against Porter-Wadley Lumber Company, a corporation, and the other defendants named in the petition.
Plaintiff alleges that he is the owner of and in actual physical possession of S.W.¼ of N.W¼ of Section 20, Township 21 North, Range 9 West, Webster Parish, Louisiana, which he acquired from Charles S. Childs by notarial warranty deed dated December 17, 1923, and duly recorded in the conveyance records of the parish.
