The plaintiffs in' this suit are Mrs. Kate H. Wells and Miss Elise Wells. In their petition they averred that their grandfather James W. Howard died in the parish of Caddo about February, 1875, *350and his wife, Mrs. M. A. Howard, died about the year 1877, leaving as their only children and heirs petitioners’ mother, Mrs. Lou H. Tally,, and her sister, Mrs. M. A. Harden-burg, widow; that their grandfather left at his death considerable property in said parish, and in the part that was then in Red River parish, but was now in De Soto parish, and especially…
