Affirming.
The appellee, Albert Garrard, a colored boy 18 years of age, was injured while in the service of the appellant, the Interstate Coal Company, on October 1st, 1912, *236by a fall of slate from the roof of appellant’s mine. Garrard’s back was broken and his lower limbs entirely paralyzed. He brought this action to recover damages for his injuries, and having obtained a verdict and judgment for $2,000.00, the defendant appeals.
