This is an appeal from an order1 appointing a receiver pendente lite, in an action to foreclose a chattel mortgage. On the 4th day of March, 1904, the appellant mortgaged to the respondent all the furniture and household effects contained on the third and fourth floors of the *312hotel Western, and also the leasehold interest in the premises occupied by the mortgagor, to secure the payment of $1,230, in monthly installments of $100 each, payable on the 4th day of each and every month, commencing April 4, 1904, with interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum.
