On October 28, 2004, the defendant, Jerry A. Stoffel, was convicted, following a jury trial in the circuit court of Fayette County, of unlawful manufacture of a substance containing methamphetamine weighing between 400 and 900 grams, criminal synthetic drug manufacture conspiracy, and unlawful possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. On January 14, 2005, he was sentenced to three concurrent prison terms of 15 years.
