Following an automobile collision with Thelma Head, Willie Joe Hannah was convicted of serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence (DUI) to the extent it was less safe for him to drive, 1 failure to maintain lane, marijuana possession, and defective equipment. On appeal, he contends that the trial court erred by denying his motion to suppress evidence of the results of a chemical test showing the level of alcohol in his blood and by failing to merge the DUI count with the serious injury by vehicle count for purposes of sentencing.
